Jeri Ryan to Guest Star on NCIS As…

Jeri Ryan has nabbed a critical role on NCIS Season 12.

The veteran actress (Leverage, Body of Proof, Helix) will come on board television's highest-rated series as Rebecca, the never-before-seen third ex-wife of one Leroy Jethro Gibbs.

Says NCIS showrunner Gary Glasberg of the casting decision:

"After 12 seasons there was still one ex-wife to cast opposite Gibbs and we found her in the beautiful and talented Jeri Ryan. We’re all very excited to have Jeri join us for a storyline that’s chock full of surprises."

After taking a week off, NCIS Season 12 Episode 7 will air next Tuesday.

Ryan, meanwhile, will debut some time in early 2015.

Mark Harmon was a star long before he signed up for NCIS. However, we're still mourning his untimely death as Agent Simon Donovan, CJ's romantic interest on The West Wing.
