Taye Diggs is bringing his incredible talent to NCIS' 300th episode.
CBS announced today Diggs would join NCIS Season 13 as a guest star in a pivotal role that will require not only his acting skills, but his musical talents as well.
Diggs will be playing a Marine suffering from PTSD on this important episode.
The Marine, Gunnery Sergeant Aaron Davis, is going through music therapy as treatment for his PTSD after suffering traumatic injuries during an ambush in Iraq.
Once a free-spirited, gifted musician, Gibbs will find the Marine shell of the man he once was at Walter Reed Medical Center, going through the slow, but effective treatment.
It's there where Gibbs will need Davis to recount memories of the horrifying ambush in order to help him solve a murder.
“For our 300th episode, we needed a guest actor who could proudly portray one of our nation’s wounded warriors as well as participate in a very touching musical performance,” NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg said in a statement.
“This emotionally charged role is tailor-made for Taye Diggs, and we are so thrilled and honored to have him join us.”
Diggs is well known for his role on Private Practice, currently stars on Murder in the First and has been guest starring on Rosewood Season 1.
Diggs has also starred in Broadway productions such as Rent, Chicago and Wicked.
