Tensions on the NCIS set were at an all-time high in the months leading up to Pauley Perrette's departure.

More details have emerged about what really went on behind closed doors on the set of the CBS juggernaut, and the latest report seems to support Perrette's tweet storm about being "physically assaulted" on the show.

NCIS Abby Exit

Perrette departed NCIS after 15 seasons in the role of Abby Sciuto back in 2018. The actress was open about the set not being the healthiest of environments to work on.

"I've been supporting ant-bullying programs forever. But now I KNOW because it was ME! If it's school or work, that you're required to go to?" she Tweeted in May last year.

"It's horrifying. I left. Multiple Physical Assaults. I REALLY get it now. Stay safe. Nothing is worth your safety. Tell someone."

Just over a year after that, her former co-star, Cote de Pablo made a stunning return to the series as Ziva David on NCIS Season 16 Episode 24

Naturally, this made Abby fans wonder whether she could be the next person to return, but Perrette stunned fans by shutting down any hope of her reprising the role.

“NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?)," she shared earlier this month, adding the following:

“I am terrified of [Mark Harmon] and him attacking me. I have nightmares about it."

Yes, Perrette alleged that she was "physically assaulted."

According to TMZ, the person who carried out the alleged assault was series lead, Mark Harmon, who Pauley said she was having nightmares about.

The website states that Harmon brought his dog on to the NCIS set back in 2016, and it bit a crew member.

The man allegedly needed sixteen stitches, and that same crew member is thought to be the man from Pauley's above tweet.

Pauley turned to CBS to make sure the dog was not allowed on the set to make sure everybody was safe, the report continues.

CBS allegedly agreed, and the dog was requested to be on a leash at all times unless it was inside Harmon's trailer.

The report alleges that Pauley is claiming that Mark body checked her in 2017 while on the set. What's more, she allegedly thought this was his way of paying her back for the new rule.
